Search Committee
The Standing Committee of the Diocese of Alaska charges the Search Committee with the following responsibilities:
- To listen to the diverse voices of Alaska to create a story of the Diocese of Alaska that becomes the Profile used in the search for the VIII Bishop of Alaska,
- To include in the profile the procedures for receiving nominations and the procedures for nomination by petition,
- To identify the leadership skills and personal qualities needed for the VIII Bishop of Alaska based on the profile, and
- To prayerfully discern three qualified nominees who will be recommended to the Standing Committee for presentation to the 2009 Electing Convention of the Diocese of Alaska.
